Young Farmers Program 2021
The Young Farmers measure offers newly entrant farmers, under the age of 41, an aid amount ranging from €35,000 to €40,000, for the start of their agricultural activity. Program candidates must have submitted (or submitted) the first time an IAS 2021 declaration (or previous years, but under conditions) and be registered in the Register of Farmers (MAAE) as new entrants.
The duration of the program (and essentially the commitment) is from 7 to 8 years.
The aid amount, which is not linked to specific costs, is structured as follows:

- by 2,500 euros if the area of permanent residence of the young farmers is located in mountainous or disadvantaged areas or on small islands (islands with a population of up to 3,000 inhabitants) or a combination of these categories of areas and
- by €2,500 for animal production direction (in the future state) of the farm.
Therefore, the aid amount is formed, depending on the above combinations, from 35,000 euros to 40,000 euros.
The financial aid is paid in two installments. The first installment is paid when the new farmer joins the measure and is 70% of the total aid, while the second and final payment for the remaining 30% is paid upon completion of the business plan, between the 3rd and 4th year from integration.
